A solar eclipse as seen by an observer from Earth happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, and when the Moon fully or partially blocks the Sun. The August 21st, 2017 solar eclipse will stretch from Salem, Oregon to Charleston, South Carolina. Partial solar eclipse can still be seen by observers outside the latter path. Observers from North America will be in for a little treat on the 21st of August as this is an exciting event to witness but some experts say there are few things you must avoid.
